Millions of Americans play casual games every day on social media or tablets

Bingo Blitz, a free-to-play social bingo app, turns interactive food into actual food provided by Feeding America, the largest domestic hunger relief agency in the United States.

At the moment, Bingo Blitz players are making virtual dishes in the game, and before tomorrow, for every single virtual meal prepared in the game, Bingo Blitz is contributing $1 to Feeding America to better benefit the most needy. According to Playtika, the game publisher, $1 will deliver at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.

Feeding America’s national network of food banks, pantry and meal services serves nearly every community in the United States – more than 40 million individuals, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors. The network is now delivering critical relief for people afflicted by the latest COVID-19 pandemic.

Millions of Americans play casual games every day on social media or tablets, making up a large gaming culture. Bingo Blitz is played every day by more than 1 m users on social networks and smartphone channels. Playtika said she’s excited about mobilizing casual gamers to make a real difference in communities around the world. The business is also a supporter of the World Health Organization’s # PlayApartTogether initiative, which advocates the value of social distance in reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, while at the same time empowering people to reach out and encourage others by gaming. The movement is rallying the gaming industry around the world to fight depression and social alienation.

“It is a joy to collaborate with Feeding America and support their vital work,” said Bingo Blitz, Chief Executive Officer, Dudu Dahan. For the first time ever, it’s now possible for players to actually support people by playing a game with their friends. We want to prove that gaming is not only a way to relax, have fun and be connected to others, it can also be a strong platform for creating a healthier community.

Lauren Biedron, Vice President of Strategic Relations at Feeding America, added: “In these difficult days, it is vital that everyone joins the war against hunger. We thank Bingo Blitz and its players for helping Feeding America as we strive to serve people throughout the United States.
